Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026 · Operator: Manan (provisional name — a registered entity and dedicated privacy contact will replace it before formal launch)
1. Who we are
Manan ("we", "us") operates this website, a self-reflection tool that offers personality questionnaires and a personal results portrait. We process as little personal data as the service allows — the answers you give, the result they produce, and the minimal account details needed to save them.
2. What we collect
- Account details — your email address (via email or Google sign-in) and, optionally, a display name.
- Your questionnaire answers — the responses you give to the 16 Types and Enneagram questionnaires, autosaved as you go.
- Your results — the type, scores and portrait generated from your answers.
- One preference — the character presentation (masculine / feminine / androgynous) you choose, used only to shape how your portrait appears.
- Consent record — the timestamp of when you confirmed your age and agreed to this policy.
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
3. Why we process it (legal basis)
- To provide the service you asked for — saving your progress and results so you can return to them (performance of a contract).
- Because you consented when you confirmed your age and accepted this policy before your first questionnaire.
- To keep the service secure and functioning (legitimate interest).
4. Sensitive answers
Personality answers can reveal information about your inner life, which privacy laws treat as sensitive. That is why we ask for your explicit consent before the first question, keep your answers tied only to your account, and give you one-tap tools to download or erase everything. Please do not enter information in your answers that you would not want stored — the questionnaires only need your honest reactions to everyday situations.
5. How long we keep it
Your account data, answers and results are kept until you delete them or delete your account. If an account is inactive for one year, we may erase its questionnaire data as part of routine data minimisation. Deleting your account removes your profile, your answers and your results permanently and immediately.
6. Your choices and rights
Everything is available inside the app, on the My Mirror page under "Account & data":
- Download my data — a machine-readable export of your profile, answers and results.
- Delete test history — erase all answers and results while keeping your account.
- Delete account — permanent, immediate erasure of your account and everything in it.
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you also have rights of access, rectification, restriction, objection and portability under the GDPR; if you are in India, similar rights apply under the DPDP Act. Since all data is visible and controllable in the app, exercising these rights starts with the tools above — if you need anything beyond them, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
7. Age requirement
Manan is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect answers from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has used the service, contact us and we will erase the data.
8. Where your data lives
Data is stored in a managed cloud database provided by our hosting infrastructure, protected by row-level security so that only your signed-in session can read your rows. Access by our team is limited to what is necessary to operate and support the service.
9. Third-party content in results
Results may mention well-known characters and public figures (for example from Marvel or DC) as editorial reference points for personality descriptions. This is descriptive comparison only — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any studio, publisher or person, and we store nothing about them.
10. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, sessions are token-based, and database access is locked to the owning user. No system is perfectly secure; we design so that even a full dump of the questionnaire table reveals only anonymous answer patterns, never identities beyond your own account email.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data in a way that matters, we will ask for consent again before your next questionnaire. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
12. Contact
For privacy questions, contact the Manan team through the app's support channel. A dedicated privacy contact address and registered operator entity will be published here before formal launch.
